I Serve A God
I serve a God, so awesome.
I don’t have to pretend to be good in front of Him because He knows me from the inside out.
I don’t have to do all the funny things to make Him forgive my sins. He offered me.
I don’t have to go through all the rituals to make Him accept me.
Even before I knew Him, He loved me so much that He never let go of me no matter how much I hurt Him [and I am sorry].
He was beside me, even though I think He is no where to be seen.
He was the one, who taught me to love a diversity of people and not to judge them.
He was the one who taught me how to accept and care for those whom the world rejects the most. And I am still learning.
He was the one who showed me what humbleness is.
He is more than what we think a god is. Because He is God.
He is Jesus, The God, not a God.
Switchfoot Live in Adelaide!!!
Let’ start off with this picture:
I still couldn’t believe it, that I had the chance last night, to stand on the second row, middle section (i.e. right in front of the stage) of the crowd, watching Switchfoot performing live. Switchfoot is always on the list of the concerts that I will definitely go. Their music is a smooth blend of pop and rock, very creative. Seeing them performing on stage proved that they have the real ability to create such quality music without much studio editing (like Avril Lavigne. =P).
The interesting part of this concert is that the ticket is only priced at $20! But there is a catch. Since Youth Alive is the main organizer and sponsor in bringing Switchfoot in, they were on the stage of more than 2 hours doing praise and worship, salvation calls, offerings and a whole bunch of announcements. The whole thing was so draggy. Just like a Sunday service. The crowd was all getting restless and people can hardly pay attention. During the video promos everyone just lost patience and just keep shouting for Switchfoot. It was quite an interesting scene.
Me, Delia and Debra manage to get a stand on the fourth row from the start but somehow using our well-planned strategy, we managed to squeeze to the second row, which I think it’s a perfect spot. The reason was that the event staffs a.k.a securities wouldn’t allow anyone to take pictures and videos. With the first row of people standing in front of me, they acted like a barrier so I can occasionally (it’s quite frequent actually) hold up the camera, snap it and put it down before they can spot me. Thanks to the high shutter speed of my camera too.
At the end of the concert we even got the chance to get an autograph from Switchfoot and snap pictures, shake hands etc. It came to my shock that they were real friendly people. I think everyone will just feel so warm with them.
Anyway, I think I am essay writing now. Pictures speak more than words. Here you go! [Well I wouln't put any watermarks on the pictures just in case you wanna grap the pictures. Cheers!]
Here’s a video of one of the songs: Meant to live
